Levosiz M Kid Tablet 10

Levosiz-M Kid Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms of allergic rhinitis: This includes stuffy or runny nose, itching of the nose, throat, eyes and ears, and sneezing.

• Helping with chronic idiopathic urticaria: This medicine helps in reducing itchiness, and minimising the number and size of hives.

Follow these instructions while giving Levosiz-M Kid Tablet to your child:

• Place the tablet on your child's tongue and allow it to disintegrate completely before swallowing.

• It can be given with or without water.

• Do not give more than the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's important not to stop giving this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Levosiz-M Kid Tablet is given orally.

Levosiz-M Kid Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): As a potent histamine H1receptor antagonist, levocetirizine works by blocking histamine action at H1 receptors. Histamine is a substance that your body makes during an allergic reaction. By blocking its action, levocetirizine reduces symptoms of allergic reaction such as itching, swelling, runny nose and sneezing.

• Montelukast (4 mg): This ingredient is a leukotriene receptor antagonist. Specifically, it blocks the action of a substance called leukotriene D4 (LTD4) at certain receptors (CysLT1) in your child's lungs and bronchial tubes. This action helps reduce inflammation and constriction in the airways.

• Store the Levosiz-M Kid Tablet in a cool, dry place below 30°C.

• Protect it from exposure to light and moisture.

• Always ensure it's kept out of reach of children.

• Remember to use the medicine before its expiry date.

• Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids, as it assists in managing allergic reactions which Levosiz-M Kid Tablet is prescribed for.

• Limit your child's exposure to allergens such as dust and pet dander, as this medicine is used to manage allergic conditions.
