Losar-A Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing hypertension or high blood pressure in adults

• Reducing the risk of heart-related complications like stroke and heart attack

• Aid in controlling blood pressure when other medicines have not been effective.

Here are the instructions you should follow while taking Losar-A Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.

• It can be taken with or without food.

• Try to take it at the same time each day for optimal results.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without first consulting your doctor.

Losar-A Tablet is taken orally.

Losar-A Tablet contains two active ingredients that work together to lower blood pressure:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This ingredient belongs to a group of medicines known as calcium channel blockers. By relaxing the smooth muscles in your blood vessels, Amlodipine widens them, reducing resistance and lowering blood pressure.

• Losartan (50 mg): As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), Losartan prevents a substance called angiotensin II from binding to its receptors in your body. Angiotensin II normally causes blood vessels to tighten; when blocked by Losartan, your blood vessels relax and widen, reducing resistance and lowering blood pressure.

The combined effect of Amlodipine and Losartan results in a greater reduction in blood pressure compared to taking either ingredient alone.
