Lupinac Tablet is used to help protect and support kidney function in people with chronic kidney disease, including those with diabetes-related kidney damage. It may also be used in certain situations, as advised by a doctor, to help protect the kidneys when contrast dye is given during imaging tests.
It contains taurine and acetylcysteine, two antioxidants that help protect the kidneys from oxidative stress. Take it as prescribed by your doctor, with or after food to reduce the chance of stomach upset.
Protecting kidney health alongside this medicine includes keeping blood pressure and blood sugar well controlled, staying well hydrated, limiting salt, and following any dietary guidance your doctor or dietitian gives you.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any existing kidney, liver, or heart conditions, and about all other medicines you take. Tell your doctor if you develop a rash or any signs of an allergic reaction.
