Maxiflo 250 Rotacaps are used to manage and prevent the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults. It combines two active ingredients from the corticosteroid and bronchodilator groups of medicines.
It contains fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the lungs, and formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that widens the airways. Together, they help prevent episodes of wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, and cough. Use the rotacap with the inhaler device exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has shown you, and continue using it regularly, even when you feel well, for it to work properly.
Rinsing your mouth with water after each use can help reduce throat irritation and the risk of oral thrush. Avoiding smoke and other known triggers also supports better breathing.
Before starting this medicine, consult your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, such as tuberculosis or other chest infections, or ongoing medicines. If you notice any side effects while on this medicine, inform your doctor promptly. Do not stop using it suddenly without medical advice, as this may worsen your breathing symptoms.
