Maxtra P Syrup 60ml

Maxtra-P Syrup is used to relieve symptoms of the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and other upper respiratory tract allergies in children. It helps reduce sneezing, nasal congestion, and throat irritation. It can also be used alongside antibiotics to treat sinusitis and bacterial ear infections. Always consult your doctor for the right dosage.

To ensure your child gets the most benefit from Maxtra-P Syrup, follow these instructions:

• Shake the bottle well before use. This helps to mix the medicine evenly.

• Accurately measure out the correct dose using a spoon or cup. It's important to give your child the right amount.

• This medicine can be given with or without food, according to your child's preference.

Maxtra-P Syrup is given orally.

Maxtra-P Syrup contains three active ingredients which work together to alleviate cold and allergy symptoms:

• Paracetamol/Acetaminophen (125 mg): This ingredient works as an analgesic and antipyretic. It reduces pain by inhibiting pain impulse generation in the body. Moreover, it helps lower fever by acting on the heat-regulating centre in the brain.

• Phenylephrine Hydrochloride (5 mg): As a nasal decongestant, it stimulates α-receptors in the nasal mucosa, causing vasoconstriction. This action reduces blood flow, thereby relieving nasal congestion and helping to drain sinus secretions.

• Chlorpheniramine Maleate (1 mg): This antihistamine competes with histamine for H1-receptor sites in the body. By blocking histamine binding sites, prevents allergy symptoms like itching and sneezing.

• Store Maxtra-P Syrup at room temperature, ideally between 20°C and 25°C.

• Protect the syrup from light and moisture.

• Do not refrigerate or freeze the syrup.

• Ensure the bottle is tightly closed when not in use.

• Keep Maxtra-P Syrup out of reach of children.

• Always check the expiration date before giving it to your child.

• If your child is experiencing nasal congestion or a runny nose, encourage them to drink plenty of fluids. This will help thin out their mucus, making it easier to drain.

• To soothe a sore throat caused by postnasal drip, try giving warm liquids like herbal tea or soup. But remember, always test the temperature before giving it to your child.
