Mefkind Forte Suspension is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever in children, including pain from toothache, muscle aches, and injury or surgery.
It contains mefenamic acid and paracetamol, two pain-relieving and fever-reducing ingredients used together. Give the suspension by mouth with food, using the measuring cup provided, exactly as prescribed for your child's age and weight. Do not give more frequently than your doctor has advised, even if the fever or pain returns.
Keeping your child comfortable with adequate rest, light clothing, and plenty of fluids can help alongside this medicine when treating fever. A lukewarm sponge bath may also help bring down a high temperature.
Before giving this suspension, tell your doctor if your child has a history of stomach ulcers, asthma, kidney or liver problems, or bleeding disorders. Tell your doctor if your child develops black stools, persistent vomiting, or a skin rash. Avoid giving other pain-relieving medicines at the same time unless advised.
