Metosartan LN 50 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) by reducing heart rate and improving blood flow. It helps prevent heart-related complications and reduces fluid retention by promoting the excretion of sodium and water, improving heart function.

To take Metosartan LN 50 Tablet properly, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet as it can impact the effectiveness of the medicine.

• You can take this medicine with or without food.

• Make sure you do not exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• It's essential that you don't stop taking this medication without discussing it with your doctor first.

Metosartan LN 50 Tablet is taken orally.

Metosartan LN 50 Tablet contains three active ingredients which work together:

• Cilnidipine (10 mg): This component acts as a calcium channel blocker. It reduces the amount of calcium entering into your vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to a relaxation of your blood vessels. Additionally, it reduces the release of a substance called norepinephrine from certain nerve endings.

• Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg): As a beta1 adrenergic receptor blocker, it slows down your heart rate and reduces the force with which your heart muscle contracts. This reduces the demand on your heart.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): This ingredient prevents a substance called angiotensin II from binding to receptors in your body. The effect of this action is dilatation of blood vessels and reduced secretion of another substance called aldosterone which together help in reducing blood pressure.

• Store Metosartan LN 50 Tablet at a temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine away from light and moisture.

• Ensure the packaging is kept tightly sealed when not in use.

• Keep this medication out of reach of children.

• Excess salt can raise your blood pressure, which this medicine is designed to manage. Therefore, try to limit your salt intake.
