CompositionMintop Forte 5% Solution is used to treat hair loss caused by male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia). It is a single-ingredient medicine containing minoxidil 5%, and belongs to a class of medicines called hair growth stimulants.
This medicine helps slow hair loss and may encourage regrowth, mainly on the crown of the head. Results usually take 3 to 6 months of regular use, and new hair may be lost if treatment is stopped. Apply the solution to a dry scalp as directed by your doctor, wash your hands afterwards, and leave it on for several hours before washing your hair. Women are usually advised to use a lower strength unless their doctor recommends otherwise.
A balanced diet with enough protein and iron, managing stress, and treating the scalp gently by avoiding tight hairstyles and harsh chemical treatments can support hair health.
This solution is for use on the scalp only. Do not apply it to broken, irritated or sunburnt skin. Before using it, tell your doctor if you have heart disease, low or high blood pressure, or sudden or patchy hair loss, and about other scalp treatments you use. Do not use it if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop and contact your doctor if you have chest pain, a fast heartbeat, dizziness, sudden weight gain or swollen ankles, or severe scalp irritation. Do not stop using this medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
