Ipca MMF-500 Tablet is used to prevent the body rejecting a transplanted organ, such as a kidney, heart or liver. It is also used, under specialist care, to manage certain autoimmune conditions.
It contains mycophenolate mofetil, an immunosuppressant. It works by damping down the immune system so it does not attack the transplanted organ.
Take it exactly as prescribed, usually with other anti-rejection medicines. Regular blood tests check your white cell count and that the dose is right.
Because it lowers your immune defences, avoid contact with people who have infections and report signs of infection. It can seriously harm an unborn baby, so effective contraception is essential during and after treatment as advised.
