Modus-10 Tablet is used in women to treat abnormal uterine bleeding and amenorrhoea (absence of periods), and to manage endometriosis. It also helps protect the uterine lining in women receiving oestrogen therapy.
It contains medroxyprogesterone, a synthetic form of progesterone that signals the uterus to stop growing its lining and eventually shed it, bringing on a withdrawal bleed. Take this tablet exactly on the days of the month your doctor prescribes, often only for 5 to 10 days.
Keeping a menstrual diary and attending all follow-up appointments can help track your response to treatment alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any history of blood clots, liver disease, or breast cancer before starting. It is not a contraceptive and must not be used as an emergency contraceptive. Report sudden leg swelling, severe headaches, or vision changes promptly.
