Montemac-L Kid Tablet is used for the following:

• Management of seasonal allergies such as hay fever

• Alleviation of year-round allergies like dust or pet allergies

• Reduction of chronic hives without a known cause

• Prevention of asthma attacks triggered by exercise

• Control and prevention of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny nose, itching)

To give Montemac-L Kid Tablet to your child, observe these guidelines:

• Give the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking or chewing the tablet.

• Stick to the dose recommended by your doctor.

• Consult your doctor before stopping the medication or changing the dose.

• If your child feels unwell after taking this medicine, take advice from your doctor immediately.

Montemac-L Kid Tablet is given orally.

Montemac-L Kid Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Levocetirizine (2.5 mg): This component acts as an antihistamine. It works by blocking a substance called histamine that your body makes during an allergic reaction. Blocking histamine helps relieve symptoms like runny nose, itching, sneezing and watery eyes.

• Montelukast (4 mg): This ingredient falls under the category of leukotriene receptor antagonists. It works by blocking leukotrienes, chemicals in the body that cause inflammation in the lungs and tightening of the muscles around the airways. Blocking these substances helps reduce symptoms related to asthma such as wheezing and shortness of breath.

• Store Montemac-L Kid Tablet in its original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure the product is out of reach and sight of children.

• If your child has been prescribed Montemac-L Kid Tablet for allergies, try to identify allergens in their diet and surroundings, and avoid them as much as possible. This could include certain foods, dust, or pet dander.

• Encourage regular indoor activities that enhance lung capacity like deep breathing exercises or playing a wind instrument, especially if the tablet is given for asthma-related symptoms.
