• Montina-L Syrup is used to treat allergy symptoms like runny nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, congestion, and watery eyes in children. It also helps manage allergic rhinitis, asthma, and skin allergies. Combining montelukast and levocetirizine, it blocks chemicals that trigger allergies, providing effective relief.
• Allergic Skin Conditions: Montina L Syrup helps in managing allergic skin conditions characterised by itching, rash, and swelling caused by allergies.
• Nasal Congestion: Montina L Syrup provides relief from nasal congestion caused by allergies or other respiratory conditions.
• Asthma: Montina L Syrup is used to manage the symptoms of asthma, which include coughing, wheezing, and difficulty breathing. It is prescribed as a maintenance therapy and relieves symptoms in acute asthma exacerbations.
• Chronic Urticaria: Montina L Syrup is also used to treat chronic urticaria, a skin rash that causes red, itchy welts.

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to measure the correct dose of the syrup.
• Take the syrup at the same time each day, preferably with a meal, to aid absorption.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

• Montina L Syrup interacts with target receptors in blood to reduce inflammation and allergic reactions. Montelukast, an active ingredient in Montina L Syrup, works by blocking the action of leukotrienes. The body produces leukotrienes responding to allergens such as pollen, dust mites, or pet dander. These chemicals cause inflammation and swelling in the airways of the lungs. In children with asthma and allergic rhinitis, leukotrienes cause the airways to be inflamed and narrow, making breathing difficult. Montelukast blocks the action of leukotrienes to relieve inflammation in the airways, making it comfortable for children with asthma and allergic rhinitis to breathe.
• The other active ingredient in Montina L Syrup is Levocetirizine which works by blocking the effects of histamine, a chemical released by the body during an allergic reaction. Histamine causes sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itching, and watery eyes. Levocetirizine blocks the effects of histamine to reduce these symptoms.
• Montelukast and Levocetirizine provide a dual-action approach to treating the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and asthma. 

• Store this medicine at a room temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Avoid giving your child any other medications or supplements without consulting a doctor.
• If your child has an allergy or asthma, avoid giving them foods such as dairy products, wheat, shellfish, nuts, and soy which can trigger symptoms.
• Avoid dust, mites, pet dander, and pollen triggers. Encourage them to use face masks for the same.
• Make sure your child takes the medication at the same time every day to maintain consistent blood levels.
• Encourage your child to drink plenty of water daily to stay hydrated.
• Offer a balanced diet with plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins to support their overall health and well-being.
