Mox CV DS Oral Suspension is used for managing the following conditions in children:

• Lower respiratory tract infections like community-acquired pneumonia and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis

• Skin and soft tissue infections

• Urinary tract infections

• Shake the bottle well before use.

• Measure the exact quantity recommended by your doctor using a spoon or cup.

• The medicine can be given with or without food. If tummy upset occurs, giving the doses with meals or snacks may help.

Mox CV DS Oral Suspension contains two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (400 mg): This component works by binding to and inactivating certain proteins (penicillin-binding proteins) found on the inner membrane of bacterial cell walls. These proteins are crucial for maintaining the strength and rigidity of these cell walls through cross-linking peptidoglycan chains. By disrupting this process, amoxicillin weakens the bacterial cell wall, leading to cell lysis or destruction.

• Clavulanic Acid (57 mg): This ingredient acts as a protector for amoxicillin. It binds to enzymes called beta-lactamases produced by some bacteria that can destroy amoxicillin. By preventing these enzymes from working, clavulanic acid helps extend the spectrum of bacteria that amoxicillin can effectively manage, including those usually resistant to other beta-lactam antibiotics.
