Moxiford Eye Drops are used to manage the following conditions:

• Relieve symptoms such as pain, redness, itching, or soreness caused by eye infections
• Manage bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) and prevent infections after surgery
• Additionally, they alleviate discharge and itching from bacterial infections and are used to prevent infections following eye injuries

To use Moxiford Eye Drops, follow these steps:

• Shake the bottle well before each use.
• Instil one or two drops into the pouch formed by pulling down your lower eyelid.
• Avoid touching your eye or any other surface with the dropper to prevent contamination.
• Repeat this process for your other eye if advised by your doctor.

Moxiford Eye Drops contain the following active ingredients: 

• Moxifloxacin (0.5%): As a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, moxifloxacin works by inhibiting two enzymes in your body - DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. These enzymes are key in helping bacteria replicate their DNA and divide into new cells. By blocking these enzymes, moxifloxacin effectively hampers bacterial growth and multiplication.
• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02%): This component acts as an antimicrobial preservative in the formulation of the eye drops. It prevents the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms, thereby ensuring that the product remains sterile during use. In addition to its preservative role, benzalkonium chloride also possesses some bactericidal and fungicidal properties which contribute to its effectiveness against certain bacterial infections.

• Store your Moxiford Eye Drops upright, in a cool place, not exceeding 30°C.
