Mucinac AB Tablet is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and bronchial asthma. It is a combination medicine containing acebrophylline (100 mg), a bronchodilator, and acetylcysteine (600 mg), a mucolytic.
This medicine helps relax the airways, loosen thick mucus and ease cough and wheezing, making breathing easier. It may also be used in bronchitis. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Avoiding triggers such as smoke, dust and cold air, quitting smoking and drinking enough water to help loosen mucus support better breathing alongside this medicine.
Before starting, tell your doctor if you have heart problems, a stomach ulcer or other health conditions, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report worsening breathlessness or a fast heartbeat. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
