Napra-D 250 Tablet is used to prevent and manage migraine headaches, particularly mild to moderate attacks, by reducing their frequency, intensity, and duration. It helps improve daily functioning and quality of life when used regularly as prescribed. This medicine is not meant for immediate relief during an acute migraine attack. Napra-D 250 Tablet is used for the treatment and prevention of migraine headaches. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of migraine attacks and provides relief from migraine-related pain.

Swallow the Napra-D 250 Tablet with one whole glass of water
Do not open, crush, or chew the Napra-D 250 Tablet
Do not change your tablet dose or take them more often than prescribed.

Napra-D 250 Tablet is taken orally.

Napra-D 250 Tablet may cause side effects such as ankle or foot swelling, unusual tiredness, mood changes, hot flashes, confusion, headache, ringing in the ears, and changes in vision. If these symptoms persist or become severe, seek medical advice promptly.

Managing the Side Effects:

Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which are resolved by discontinuing the Napra-D 250 Tablet. However, if you experience severe side effects or worsening symptoms, please consult your doctor.

Napra-D 250 Tablet comprises the following components:

Naproxen sodium (250 mg): It is a non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It works by reducing prostaglandin synthesis through inhibition of COX1 and COX2 enzymes.
Domperidone (10 mg): It is an anti-emetic drug that also delays the gastrointestinal emptying. It is a prokinetic which shows the action by blocking dopamine receptors. The dopamine receptor blocking property is responsible for the antiemetic action of domperidone.

Pregnancy

Be cautious about the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet in pregnant women. It is not recommended to use Napra-D 250 Tablet in pregnancy. If the medicine is required to be taken, then consult your doctor before use.

Breastfeeding

It is safe to use the Napra-D 250 Tablet for breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor before use and advice.

Alcohol

The risk of bleeding, ulcers, and holes in the esophagus may occur. It may also lead to an increase in heart rate and a sleepy feeling when the Napra-D 250 Tablet is taken along with alcohol.

Liver

Be cautious about the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet in persons suffering from liver diseases. Consult your doctor before use in case you suffer from liver disease.

Kidney

Be cautious about using Napra-D 250 Tablet in persons suffering from kidney diseases. Consult your doctor before use in case you suffer from kidney disease.

Using Machines & Driving

If you are allergic to domperidone, naproxen sodium, and other constituents of Napra-D 250 Tablet, then do not use it. If you previously had an undesirable experience, do not use the Napra-D 250 Tablet again.

Allergy

Drowsiness and sleepiness may occur after taking Napra-D 250 Tablet. It is best to avoid using machines and driving until you feel normal again.

Children

Napra-D 250 Tablet is suitable for children over twelve years of age. If you want to give this medicine to your child. Please consult your child’s doctor.

Older Patients

Use the Napra-D 250 Tablet cautiously in elderly people with liver, kidney, and cardiac diseases. Dosage adjustments may be required. Your doctor will check your history of illnesses, health and current body status and prescribe it accordingly.

Drug-Drug Interactions

Napra-D 250 Tablet can interact with drugs, including:

Anticoagulants like warfarin effect may be reduced upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like ketorolac may interact with Napra-D 250 Tablet and may increase the risk of side effects of the Napra-D 250 Tablet.
ACE inhibitors like ramipril may interact with Napra-D 250 Tablet and may increase the risk of kidney injury.
Corticosteroids like prednisolone may interact with the Napra-D 250 Tablet and increase the risk of ulceration, bleeding, and inflammation.
Aminoglycoside antibiotics like amikacin may interact with Napra-D 250 Tablet and may increase the risk of kidney injury.
Antiarrhythmic medications like quinidine may interact with the Napra-D 250 Tablet and decrease the effect of the quinidine.

Napra-D 250 Tablet can interact with diseases, including:

Allergy: It may worsen upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet.
Kidney disease: It may worsen upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet.
Asthma: It may worsen upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet.
Heart disease: It may worsen upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet.
Liver disease: It may worsen upon the use of Napra-D 250 Tablet

Daily Dose

Take the daily dose of Napra-D 250 Tablet as directed by your doctor. The dosage may change based on individual factors such as the severity of the condition and response to treatment. It is essential to follow the prescribed dosage and not exceed it without consulting your doctor.

Over Dose

If you take an excessive amount of Napra-D 250 Tablet by accident, getting immediate medical attention from your doctor or nearby hospital is essential. Symptoms of an overdose include extreme tiredness, drowsiness, stomach pain, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, uncontrolled eye movements, unusual movements of the tongue, and abnormal posture.

Do not use the Napra-D 250 Tablet after the expiry date has passed.

Apply gentle pressure to specific painful points on your head, neck, and shoulder to relieve the migraine headache.
