Neksium 40 MG Tablet is used in managing the following conditions:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease, reducing acid backflow into the oesophagus

• Peptic ulcer disease, aiding in the healing of sores in the stomach or small intestine

• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, controlling excessive stomach acid production

To gain the most benefit from Neksium 40 MG Tablet, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.

• Avoid chewing or crushing the tablet.

• Always take this medicine as directed by your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medication without first consulting your doctor.

Neksium 40 MG Tablet is taken orally.

Neksium 40 MG Tablet contains Esomeprazole (40 MG) which works on your body as follows:

• Blocks the Gastric Proton Pump: Esomeprazole blocks a particular enzyme system in your stomach called the gastric proton pump. This system is responsible for producing stomach acid.

• Reduces Acid Production: By blocking this enzyme system, Esomeprazole effectively reduces the amount of acid produced in your stomach. This helps manage symptoms and allows any damage caused by excess acid to heal.

• Keep Neksium 40 MG Tablet in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and moisture.

• Maintain an optimal storage temperature below 25°C.

• Keep the medicine out of reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion.

• To manage symptoms of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) or acid reflux, try to limit your intake of spicy, fatty, or fried foods, as these can trigger heartburn.
