Netalo Eye Drops are used in adults to lower raised eye pressure caused by open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension, helping to protect the optic nerve and vision over the long term.

Uses of Netalo Eye Drops are:

• Open-angle Glaucoma: Lowers raised eye pressure to help protect the optic nerve.
• Ocular Hypertension: Reduces high eye pressure through a mechanism different from other glaucoma medicines.

• Wash your hands thoroughly before you begin.
• When opening or closing the bottle, do not touch the tip with your fingers to prevent contamination.
• Remove the cap and place it on a clean surface with the cap's side down. Hold the bottle, ensuring the dropper tip stays clear of any contact.
• Hold the bottle with the tip pointing downward between your thumb and fingers.
• Tilt your head backwards.
• Gently pull down your lower eyelid using a clean finger to create a small 'pocket' between the eyelid and your eye. The eye drop will go into this pocket.
• Bring the dropper tip close to your eye, and if needed, use a mirror for guidance.
• Avoid touching your eye, eyelid, surrounding eye areas, or other surfaces with the tip to avoid contamination.
• Squeeze the bottle to release the drop into your eye.
• Use only one drop in each eye during each application. If a drop misses your eye, repeat the process.
• Close your eye and press a finger against the inner corner (by the nose) for about one minute.
• If you need to use the drops in both eyes, repeat the same steps for your other eye while the bottle is open.
• Recap the bottle to close it securely.

• Netarsudil (0.02%): It is a rho kinase inhibitor that lowers intraocular pressure (IOP) through the relaxation of the trabecular meshwork. This action enhances the outflow of aqueous humour, the clear fluid in the eye that plays a crucial role in regulating intraocular pressure and nourishing the eye's natural lens.

• The medicine bottle should be kept upright and at room temperature.
• Keep the bottle away from heat and direct sunlight.
• Refrain from keeping the eye drops in the refrigerator.
• When not in use, make sure the bottle is tightly closed.
• Keep the bottle away from children and pets.

• Make sure to incorporate a variety of fruits and veggies in your daily diet. These are high in antioxidants and essential nutrients that can support eye health.
• It's vital to avoid smoking and alcohol consumption as they can have adverse effects on eye health.
• Be mindful of your food choices. Limit your intake of baked goods like cakes and cookies and fried items such as french fries and stick margarine. These types of foods may exacerbate glaucoma and potentially harm the optic nerve.
• When engaging in physical activities, avoid positions where your head is lower than your body, such as inverted yoga poses, as these can potentially increase eye pressure. Instead, opt for exercises that are suitable for individuals with glaucoma.
