Neurokem Plus Capsule 10

The Neurokem Plus Capsule is used to manage:

• Diabetic peripheral neuropathy 

• Swallow Neurokem Plus Capsule whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush or chew the medicine, as this may affect the way the medication is absorbed in the body.
• Do not change your capsule dose or take it more often than prescribed.

Neurokem Plus Capsule is taken orally.

Neurokem Plus Capsule contains the following components:

• Pregabalin (75mg): It is an anticonvulsant medication that helps control abnormal electrical activity in the brain. When damaged, nerves can send incorrect pain signals to the brain, leading to nerve pain. Pregabalin helps reduce this abnormal activity, which, in turn, helps alleviate nerve pain caused by diabetic neuropathy.
• Methylcobalamin or vitamin B12 (0.75 mg): It plays a crucial role in nerve function and repair. Nerves are like electrical wires in our body; they need a protective covering called the myelin sheath to work properly. Methylcobalamin helps form and maintain myelin sheath, which is essential for healthy nerve function.
• Alpha lipoic acid (100 mg): It is a potent antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress, a significant factor in the development and progression of diabetic neuropathy. It also plays a role in improving blood flow to the nerves, which can reduce symptoms.
• Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) (3 mg): Pyridoxine or Vitamin B6 is essential for synthesising neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that transmit signals between nerve cells. By supporting neurotransmitter function, vitamin B6 can help manage the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy.
• Folic Acid (1.5 mg): It is vitamin B9 that aids in forming new cells and repairing damaged nerve tissue. It is essential for overall nerve health and can help reduce the symptoms of neuropathy.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Neurokem Plus Capsule away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Keep your blood sugar levels within the target range for preventing and managing neuropathy.
• Limit your sugary and processed foods intake, as they can spike your blood sugar levels.
• Alcohol can cause further damage to nerves, so limit your alcohol consumption or avoid it.
• Check your feet daily for wounds, cuts, or blisters, as neuropathy can reduce sensation and increase the risk of foot problems.
• Wear comfortable, well-fitting shoes to protect your feet from injury. Avoid shoes that are too tight or have seams that may rub against your skin.
• Follow your prescribed medication regimen consistently.
