Newtel Am Tablet 10

Newtel-AM Tablet is used for the following:

• Lowering high blood pressure levels

• Swallow the tablet as a whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking or chewing the tablet.

• Follow your doctor's advice on how often to take this medicine.

• Do not stop taking your medicine without first consulting your doctor.

• Remember, it's crucial to take this medicine regularly and exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Newtel-AM Tablet is taken orally.

Newtel-AM Tablet comprises two active ingredients:

• Amlodipine (5 mg): This component is a calcium antagonist that prevents the flow of calcium ions into your heart and vascular smooth muscle. This action directly reduces blood pressure by decreasing peripheral vascular resistance.

• Telmisartan (40 mg): Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that selectively prevents angiotensin II from binding to the AT1 receptor found in tissues such as the adrenal gland and vascular smooth muscle. Consequently, this results in vasodilation, reduced vasopressin secretion, and decreased production of aldosterone. Importantly, Telmisartan does not inhibit ACE, also known as kininase II.

• Store Newtel-AM Tablet at an ideal temperature below 30°C.

• Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Always store it out of sight and reach of children.

• Ensure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• To help manage high blood pressure, aim to cut down on salt intake. Too much salt can make your body retain water, raising your blood pressure.

• Engage in regular physical activity. Exercise can help you maintain a healthy weight and lower your blood pressure. Remember, always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise regimen.
