CompositionNikoran 5 Tablet is used to prevent and manage the chest pain of chronic stable angina in adults with coronary artery disease. It helps reduce how often and how severely angina episodes occur.
It contains nicorandil, which works in two ways, as a potassium-channel opener and a nitrate, to relax and widen the coronary arteries and improve blood flow to the heart.
Take it as prescribed, and do not stop it without medical advice.
It must not be taken with erectile dysfunction medicines, as this causes a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Report any painful mouth, skin or digestive-tract ulcers, as nicorandil can rarely cause serious ulceration.
