Novamox CV Dry Syrup is used to manage the following bacterial infections in children:

• Acute middle ear infections

• Infections in the throat and tonsils

• Sinusitis, an inflammation of the sinuses

• Infections affecting the lower respiratory tract, like pneumonia and chronic bronchitis

• Skin and underlying tissue infections

• Complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections

• Gynaecological infections

• Infections inside the abdomen

• Bone and joint infections

Follow these instructions when giving Novamox CV Dry Syrup to your child:

• Add sterile water to the dry syrup powder as instructed, then mix it well until it's fully dissolved.

• Always shake the bottle well before giving this medicine to your child.

• Use the provided measuring device to ensure the correct dose is given.

• Keep the bottle tightly closed after use.

• If your child has diabetes, consult your doctor before giving this syrup as it is sugar-based.

Novamox CV Dry Syrup is given orally to your child.

Novamox CV Dry Syrup consists of two active ingredients:

• Amoxicillin (200 mg): This semi-synthetic penicillin hampers the formation of bacterial cell walls. It does this by inhibiting their biosynthesis process, displaying a bactericidal activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.

• Clavulanic Acid (28.5 mg): Clavulanic acid is a β-lactamase inhibitor. It prevents certain β-lactamase enzymes produced by resistant bacteria from degrading amoxicillin. This action expands amoxicillin's range of activity to include bacteria that produce β-lactamase.

• Store the Novamox CV Dry Syrup powder at an ideal temperature below 25°C.

• Keep it in a dry place, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.

• Once mixed into a liquid suspension, refrigerate and use within 7-10 days.

• Do not freeze.

• Always keep it out of reach of children.

• If your child has a respiratory infection, ensure they drink plenty of fluids to help loosen the mucus in their lungs. This will aid in easier breathing.
