Nucort M8 Tablet is used to treat inflammatory and autoimmune conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and severe skin conditions. It helps reduce inflammation and suppresses the overactive immune responses that cause these conditions.
It contains methylprednisolone, a corticosteroid. Take it with food or milk, ideally in the morning, as prescribed. Never stop it suddenly if you have been taking it for more than a few days, your doctor will provide a gradual tapering schedule.
Long-term use can affect bone density and blood sugar. Your doctor may recommend calcium and vitamin D supplements, a balanced diet, and weight-bearing activity. Report any signs of infection promptly, as this medicine can reduce the immune response.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any infections, diabetes, high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, or mental health conditions. Carry a steroid card if your doctor advises it. Speak to your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
