Nukast-4 Syrup is used to treat allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma in children aged 2 to 5 years. It combines montelukast sodium and levocetirizine hydrochloride to relieve symptoms like a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itching and watery eyes caused by allergies.
This combination medicine is part of a group of medicines known as antihistamines and leukotriene receptor antagonists, and may also be beneficial for chronic idiopathic urticaria, which causes persistent itchy pink or red welts on the skin. Give the syrup as directed by your doctor.
Avoiding known allergy triggers such as dust, pollen and pet dander can help alongside this medicine.
Before your child starts this medicine, make sure you inform the doctor about any pre-existing conditions or ongoing medicines. If you notice any side effects while your child is on this medicine, notify the doctor immediately.
