CompositionOlkem Trio 6.25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by a single medicine, helping reduce the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage.
It contains olmesartan medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker; cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker; and chlorthalidone, a thiazide-like diuretic. Take it as prescribed, preferably with food, and continue taking it regularly even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.
Reducing salt intake, taking regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control alongside this medicine. As it contains a diuretic, avoid taking your dose close to bedtime to prevent disturbed sleep from increased urination.
Tell your doctor if you have kidney or liver problems, low blood pressure, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, as this medicine is not recommended during pregnancy. Report swelling of the ankles, muscle weakness, or an irregular heartbeat, which can be signs of altered electrolyte levels.
