CompositionOlmezest Beta 25 Tablet is used to manage high blood pressure in adults when a single medicine is not enough. It is a combination medicine containing olmesartan medoxomil and metoprolol succinate, and belongs to the classes of angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and beta-blockers.
This medicine lowers blood pressure in two different ways, lowering the long-term risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney damage. Use the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Reducing salt in your diet, staying physically active and limiting alcohol support blood pressure control alongside this medicine.
This medicine is not suitable during pregnancy, so tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor about any asthma, breathing problems, a slow heart rate or diabetes before starting this medicine, as it can mask the warning signs of low blood sugar, and about any other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Report a very slow pulse or breathlessness, and report any side effects that persist or become serious. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly or unless your doctor advises you to do so, as the beta-blocker must be reduced gradually.
