Onabet 2% Cream is used to treat fungal skin infections.

• Athlete's Foot and Jock Itch: Treats fungal infection of the feet and groin.

• Ringworm: Clears ringworm of the body.

• Symptom Relief: Relieves itching, redness, burning and irritation.

Here's how to use Onabet Cream effectively:

• Ensure the affected skin area is clean and dry before application.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream on the affected area and the surrounding healthy skin, twice daily.

• Massage the cream gently into your skin until it's fully absorbed.

• After application, wash your hands thoroughly to avoid spreading the infection.

• Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes during application.

• For best results and full recovery, continue applying this medicine for 4 weeks, even if symptoms improve earlier. If you see no signs of improvement after 2 weeks, consult your doctor.

Onabet Cream is applied topically.

Onabet Cream contains Sertaconazole 2% as its active ingredient which works in the following way:-

• Inhibits 14α-demethylase: Sertaconazole works by blocking an enzyme called 14α-demethylase in the fungus. This enzyme plays a crucial role in forming ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membranes.

• Disrupts Fungal Membrane: By inhibiting 14α-demethylase, sertaconazole effectively disrupts fungal cell membranes by depleting ergosterol and accumulating 14α-methyl sterols. This disruption leads to a loss of essential cellular components which impairs fungal growth leading to its eventual death.

• Anti-inflammatory Properties: Apart from its antifungal activity, sertaconazole also exhibits anti-inflammatory properties which may aid in reducing symptoms associated with fungal skin infections.

• Store Onabet Cream in a cool, dry place where the temperature does not exceed 25°C.

• Keep the tube tightly closed when not in use to prevent contamination.

• Make sure it's kept out of reach and sight of children.

• If you're suffering from athlete's foot, make sure to keep your feet clean and dry. Try to wear cotton socks and breathable shoes to reduce moisture buildup.

• For skin infections like jock itch and ringworm, avoid wearing tight or non-breathable clothing. Opt for loose, cotton clothing that allows your skin to breathe.
