Orasep-LA Gel is beneficial in managing the following health conditions:

• Providing relief from painful mouth ulcers, also known as aphthous stomatitis or canker sores.

• Assisting healing of lesions on the oral mucosa, the soft tissues inside the mouth.

• Protecting and promoting recovery of raw, irritated tissues inside the mouth.

• Helping to control secondary bacterial infections in the oral cavity.

• Possibly aiding in addressing mouth ulcers caused by the Herpes simplex virus.

To use Orasep-LA Gel effectively, you should follow these steps:

• Make sure the area around your mouth ulcer is dry before application.

• Apply a small amount of Orasep-LA Gel directly to the ulcer using a clean fingertip or cotton swab.

• You can repeat this process 3 to 4 times a day, or as needed for pain relief.

• Avoid eating and drinking for at least 30 minutes after using this gel.

• Always wash your hands after applying this medication.

Orasep-LA Gel is applied topically.

Orasep-LA Gel works due to the combined action of three active ingredients:

• Tannic Acid (5 %): This plant-derived compound has multiple effects including acting as an astringent, creating a protective barrier over sores; providing antiviral activity by inhibiting viral attachment and penetration; showcasing antibacterial action by disrupting bacterial growth; and promoting tissue healing by increasing collagen cross-linking.

• Lidocaine / Lignocaine (2 %): This is a local anaesthetic that blocks sodium channels in nerve cells. It stabilises the cell membrane and prevents nerve impulses from transmitting pain signals to your brain.

• Benzalkonium Chloride (0.02 %): This compound is an efficient antiseptic agent that helps prevent secondary infections by killing bacteria present on the skin surface or within open sores.

• Store Orasep-LA Gel at a constant room temperature between 20° and 25°C.

• Keep the gel in its original packaging to protect it from light and moisture.

• Ensure the tube is tightly shut when not in use.

• Always keep this medication out of the reach of children.

• If you have mouth ulcers, avoid eating spicy or acidic foods as they can irritate the ulcers further. Instead, opt for soft and bland foods until your ulcers start to heal.

• Maintain good oral hygiene by brushing twice daily and using a mouthwash. This can help prevent mouth ulcers from recurring or getting infected.
