Osteofos 35 Tablet 4

Osteofos 35 Tablet is used to prevent and manage postmenopausal osteoporosis in women and osteoporosis in men. It also treats glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis and Paget's disease, strengthening bones and reducing the risk of fractures.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a plain glass of water.

• Do not chew or suck the tablet.

• Always take the tablet on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before your first meal or other medication.

• After taking the medicine, remain upright (sitting, standing or walking) for at least 30 minutes and until after your first meal.

• Avoid taking this medicine at bedtime or before rising for the day.

Osteofos 35 Tablet is taken orally.

Osteofos 35 Tablet consists of (alendronic acid 35 mg), which works as follows:

• Binds to Bone Hydroxyapatite: Alendronic acid attaches itself to a compound in your bones called hydroxyapatite. This helps it focus its activity on areas where it's needed most.

• Inhibits Osteoclasts: Alendronic acid works by blocking the activity of cells called osteoclasts. These cells break down bone tissue, so inhibiting them slows down bone loss.

• Increases Bone Mass: With fewer osteoclasts breaking down bone tissue, there's an overall increase in bone mass. This leads to stronger bones less prone to fractures.

• Store Osteofos 35 Tablet at room temperature, ideally below 25°C.

• Protect the medicine from moisture and light.

• Keep it safely out of reach of children.

• Always use this medicine before the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Maintaining a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D helps manage osteoporosis. Include dairy products, green leafy vegetables, and foods fortified with calcium and vitamin D in your daily meals.

• Regular, low-impact exercises like walking, dancing or yoga can improve bone health and reduce the risk of fractures associated with osteoporosis.
