Pantodac Iv Injection 1

Pantodac I.V. Injection is used for:

• Managing gastroesophageal reflux disease accompanied by erosive esophagitis in adults.

• Providing short-term relief (7-10 days) from severe symptoms of GERD.

• Helping the healing process of acid-related conditions in the stomach and oesophagus.

• Controlling pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome in adults.

Administer Pantodac I.V. Injection as follows:

• Pantodac I.V. Injection is administered directly into a vein (intravenously).

• The injection should be diluted with 10 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride before administration.

• The diluted solution can be given as a quick 2-minute infusion or a 15-minute infusion, depending on the volume.

• Use the reconstituted solution within 12 hours and discard the unused portion

Pantodac I.V. Injection is administered intravenously.

Pantodac I.V. Injection contains pantoprazole (40 mg), which acts on your body as follows:

• Proton Pump Inhibition: Pantoprazole works by blocking an enzyme system called H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump) at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, which are responsible for producing acid in your stomach.

• Reduces Acid Output: By inhibiting the activity of proton pumps, pantoprazole effectively decreases stomach acid production. This reduction in acid output aids in healing oesophagal and gastric lesions associated with acid-related conditions.

• Store Pantodac I.V. Injection vials at a cool temperature below 25°C.

• Do not freeze Pantodac I.V. Injection.

• Protect this medicine from light exposure.

• Keep it out of reach of children.

• If you're managing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with Pantodac I.V. Injection, try to reduce your intake of spicy food and caffeine. These can aggravate your condition by stimulating more acid production in your stomach.

• Incorporate a lifestyle routine that includes regular exercise. This can help manage symptoms of GERD by promoting better digestion and reducing pressure on your lower oesophagal sphincter, the muscle that prevents stomach acid from travelling up into your oesophagus.
