Pantodac It Capsule 10

Pantodac IT Capsule is used to manage GERD by reducing acid reflux into the oesophagus. It helps relieve heartburn, chest discomfort, regurgitation, and difficulty swallowing, while also supporting the treatment and maintenance of healing in erosive oesophagitis and gastrointestinal ulcers.

To correctly administer Pantodac IT Capsule, follow these steps:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.
• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Pantodac IT Capsule is taken orally.

Pantodac IT Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together:

• Itopride (150 mg): As a prokinetic agent, itopride works by increasing the release of a neurotransmitter called acetylcholine in your body. Acetylcholine plays a crucial role in enhancing the movement of your gastrointestinal tract, aiding in gastric emptying and reducing oesophagal reflux.
• Pantoprazole (40 mg): Being a proton pump inhibitor, pantoprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid produced in your stomach. It suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting a particular enzyme called hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+ ATPase) present in the stomach cells responsible for acid production.

Together, itopride and pantoprazole provide effective relief from GERD symptoms and assist in healing oesophagal and gastric lesions caused by acid reflux.

• Store Pantodac IT Capsule at room temperature, ideally below 30°C.
• Protect the medicine from moisture; keep it in a dry place.
• The container should always be kept tightly closed to prevent air exposure.
• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.
• Ensure you use Pantodac IT Capsule before the expiry date printed on the label.

• To help manage GERD, try to maintain a healthy weight. Excess weight puts pressure on your abdomen, pushing up your stomach and causing acid to backflow into your oesophagus.
• Limit your intake of certain foods and drinks that can make your signs and symptoms worse. These include alcohol, chocolate, caffeinated beverages, fatty and fried foods, garlic and onions, spicy foods, mint flavourings and tomato-based foods like spaghetti sauce, chilli, and pizza.
