Pipzo 4.5g Injection is used to treat serious and complicated bacterial infections in hospital, including pneumonia, pelvic inflammatory disease, cellulitis, abscesses and complicated urinary and abdominal infections. It works even against many resistant bacteria.
It contains piperacillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic that kills bacteria, and tazobactam, which protects it from the enzymes bacteria use to resist it.
It is given in hospital under close supervision, into a vein. Complete the full prescribed course.
Tell your doctor about any penicillin allergy or kidney problems before treatment, and report any severe reaction promptly.
