Piriton Cs Syrup 100ml

Piriton CS Syrup is used to relieve a dry cough with allergy and cold symptoms.

Uses of Piriton CS Syrup are:

• Dry Cough: Calms a dry, irritating cough.
• Allergy and Cold Symptoms: Relieves sneezing, a runny nose and throat irritation.
• Allergic Skin Symptoms: Eases itching from allergic skin reactions.

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Take Piriton CS Syrup 100 ml with lukewarm water for the best results.
• Use the provided measuring cup or dropper to measure the correct dose of the syrup.
• Take the syrup daily, preferably with a meal, to aid absorption.
• Keep the bottle well-capped after use.

Piriton CS Syrup 100 ml should be administered orally.

• Chlorpheniramine maleate, an active ingredient in Piriton CS Syrup 100 ml, is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a substance released during allergic reactions. By doing so, chlorpheniramine helps relieve symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes due to allergies, hay fever, or hives.
• Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, another active ingredient in Piriton CS Syrup 100 ml is a nonopioid cough suppressant that acts on the cough centre in the brain, reducing the urge to cough. It relieves dry and irritating coughs that do not produce phlegm or mucus.
• Combining these two active ingredients provides both antihistamine and cough suppressant effects, making the syrup effective in alleviating allergy symptoms.

• Store this medicine at a temperature below 30 ºC.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep Piriton CS Syrup 100 ml away from children.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date has passed.

• Drink plenty of fluids like water, herbal tea, and soups. 
• To soothe your throat and provide temporary relief, you can sip on warm water with honey and lemon, herbal teas, or do warm salt water gargles.
• Inhale steam from a bowl of hot water or use a humidifier to moisten your nasal passages and relieve congestion. You can also add a few drops of essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint for relief.
• Use a saline nasal rinse or a saline nasal spray to flush out any irritants, allergens, or excess mucus from your nasal passages, reducing congestion and promoting better breathing.
• Avoid irritants such as cigarette smoke, strong perfumes, cleaning products, and pollutants that further irritate your throat and worsen your symptoms. Avoid the trigger foods that worsen your symptoms, such as spicy foods or dairy products, and try to avoid or limit their consumption during this time.
