Pivasta 1 Tablet is used to lower LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and triglyceride levels while increasing HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). By lowering total blood cholesterol, it promotes heart health and reduces the risk of heart attacks and strokes. It also helps manage heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH), a genetic disorder that causes high cholesterol levels, in children over 8 years.

Here's how to take Pivasta 1 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not chew or break it.

• Always follow your doctor's instructions about when and how often to take this medicine.

• Never adjust your dosage without consulting your doctor first.

• Do not stop taking Pivasta 1 Tablet suddenly without your doctor's advice.

Pivasta 1 Tablet is taken orally.

Pivasta 1 Tablet contains pitavastatin (1 mg), which works on the body in the following ways:

• Inhibits HMG-CoA reductase: Pitavastatin blocks an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase in your body. This enzyme is key to producing cholesterol inside your body.

• Manages blood cholesterol: By inhibiting the activity of HMG-CoA reductase, pitavastatin effectively manages blood cholesterol levels, reducing the amount of bad cholesterol and increasing good cholesterol in your blood.

• Store Pivasta 1 Tablet at room temperature, ideally between 15°C to 25°C.

• Keep it away from excessive heat and direct sunlight.

• Ensure it's protected from moisture.

• Always keep the medicine out of reach of children.

• Remember to use Pivasta 1 Tablet before its expiry date.

• As Pivasta 1 Tablet is used to manage cholesterol levels, consider adopting a diet low in saturated fats and cholesterol. This can help the medicine work more effectively in controlling your cholesterol levels.

• Regular physical activity can also contribute to managing your cholesterol levels. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
