CompositionPivasta 2 Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol and triglyceride levels (hyperlipidaemia). It is a single-ingredient statin containing pitavastatin.
It helps reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke by lowering LDL (bad) cholesterol and raising HDL (good) cholesterol, and it also lowers apolipoprotein B, a protein that carries bad cholesterol in the blood. Take it in the dose, frequency and duration prescribed by your doctor.
Eat less saturated fat by cutting down on fried food, ghee and butter, add vegetables, dal and whole grains, stay physically active and limit alcohol.
Before starting, tell your doctor about any pre-existing conditions, particularly liver or kidney problems, and about all other medicines, supplements or herbal products you take. Ask your doctor about use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Report unexplained muscle pain, tenderness or weakness. Follow the prescribed dose, frequency and duration, report persistent or serious side effects, and do not stop the medicine unless your doctor advises you to do so.
