PPG Met 0.3 Tablet is used for:

• Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

• Control of high blood sugar levels.

• Reduction of post-meal spikes in blood glucose.

• Improvement of fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.

• Aiding in glycemic control when diet, exercise and single anti-diabetic medication are not sufficient.

To correctly take PPG Met 0.3 Tablet, follow these steps:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Do not crush or chew the tablet.

PPG Met 0.3 Tablet consists of two active ingredients:

• Metformin (500 mg): As a biguanide anti-diabetic medicine, metformin works in three different ways: it decreases the production of glucose in your liver; it reduces the absorption of glucose in your gut; and it improves insulin sensitivity by increasing the uptake and use of glucose in your body's peripheral tissues.

• Voglibose (0.3 mg): Voglibose belongs to a group of medicines called alpha-glucosidase inhibitors, which act by slowing down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates from your gut. This leads to a reduction in post-meal glucose levels as it inhibits the conversion of complex carbohydrates into simpler sugars.

• Store PPG Met 0.3 Tablet in a cool, dry place at room temperature, below 30°C.

• Avoid direct sunlight and moisture.

• Keep the medicine securely out of the reach of children.

• Ensure the medicine is consumed before the expiry date mentioned on the packaging.
