Pramipex 0.5 Tablet is used to manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease in adults, including tremors, muscle stiffness and slowness of movement, and to relieve moderate to severe restless legs syndrome (RLS).
It contains pramipexole (0.5 mg), a dopamine agonist. Take it as prescribed, with or without food; taking it with food may help reduce nausea. It is often started at a low dose and gradually increased. Do not stop suddenly.
Keeping to all monitoring appointments and following a regular dosing schedule support stable symptom control alongside this medicine.
Tell your doctor about any history of impulse control problems, excessive sleepiness or heart conditions before starting. Pramipexole can cause sudden sleep onset during normal daily activities and impulse control disorders (unusual urges to gamble, spend, eat or engage in increased sexual behaviours). Report any of these changes, hallucinations or significant swelling of the ankles.
