Prilox Cream 30gm

Prilox Cream is used to reduce pain and discomfort during minor skin procedures by numbing the affected area. It is also helpful in soothing irritation caused by insect bites, rashes, mild burns, and sunburns. The cream provides temporary relief from burning and stinging sensations, helping calm irritated skin.

Use Prilox Cream as directed below:

• Ensure that the skin area where the cream is to be applied is clean and dry.

• Apply a thin layer of the cream on the affected area using your fingertip or a clean cotton swab.

• Gently rub it in until fully absorbed into the skin.

• Avoid applying on open wounds, inflamed skin and near eyes without doctor's advice.

• Do not use for children below one month of age. Keep out of reach of children.

• Wash your hands properly after applying the cream unless your hands are the area being treated.

Prilox Cream is applied topically.

Prilox Cream contains two active ingredients:

• Lidocaine / Lignocaine (2.5 %): As a local anaesthetic, lidocaine works by blocking nerve signals in the area where it's applied. This action results in numbness or loss of feeling in that specific area, which helps manage and reduce pain during minor surgical procedures.

• Prilocaine (2.5 %): Prilocaine also belongs to the group of local anaesthetics. It works similarly to lidocaine by blocking nerve signals in its application area. This action helps numb the area and further enhances pain management during various painful or uncomfortable procedures.

  Together, these ingredients work synergistically to provide effective local anaesthesia and pain relief during minor surgical procedures or interventions on the skin.

• Store Prilox Cream at a temperature, ideally below 30 degrees Celsius.

• Protect it from direct sunlight and keep it in a cool, dry place. Do not freeze.

• Ensure you keep it away from children to prevent accidental ingestion.

• If you're using Prilox Cream to manage pain caused by conditions like herpes zoster, consuming foods rich in lysine such as fish, chicken, and vegetables can help. Lysine is an amino acid that can inhibit virus growth.

• Regular gentle exercise may aid in pain management. However, avoid strenuous activities that might exacerbate the area where Prilox Cream is applied.
