Prograf 1 Capsule is used in adults to prevent the body's immune system from rejecting a transplanted liver, kidney, or heart.

Uses of Prograf 1 Capsule are:

• Liver Transplant: Prevents organ rejection following liver transplantation.
• Kidney Transplant: Keeps the transplanted kidney safe from immune system attack.
• Heart Transplant: Protects against organ rejection after a heart transplant.

• Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water.

• Do not chew, crush or open the capsule.

• Consistently take the capsule with or without food to maintain stable absorption.

Prograf 1 mg Capsule contains tacrolimus (1 mg). Here's how it works on your body:

• Calcineurin Inhibition: Tacrolimus inhibits calcineurin, an enzyme that plays a crucial role in activating T-cells, which are a type of immune cell.

• Immune System Suppression: By blocking the activity of calcineurin, tacrolimus effectively suppresses T-cell activity. This reduces your immune system's ability to attack and reject the transplanted organ.

• Store it at room temperature, ideally between 15-30°C.
