Psorid 50 Capsule is used to prevent the body from rejecting a transplanted organ and to manage severe autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis when other treatments have not worked. It is an essential long-term medicine for transplant patients.
It contains cyclosporine, a potent immunosuppressant. Take it consistently with or without food at the same time each day as prescribed. Do not change the dose without specialist advice. Regular blood tests to monitor drug levels, kidney function, and blood pressure are a required part of safe treatment.
Protecting yourself from infection is important while taking this medicine. Avoid close contact with people who are unwell, keep vaccination schedules up to date (avoid live vaccines unless advised by your doctor), and tell your doctor promptly about any fever or signs of infection. Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice throughout treatment.
Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor about any kidney problems, high blood pressure, or liver disease, and about all other medicines including over-the-counter products. Tell your doctor about any swelling, significant blood pressure changes, or unusual symptoms. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless advised by a specialist.
