CompositionPTH 30 Tablet is used to manage hypercalcaemia in patients with parathyroid carcinoma and severe primary hyperparathyroidism who cannot undergo surgery, as well as managing hypoparathyroidism by regulating calcium. It works by increasing the sensitivity of the calcium-sensing receptor on the parathyroid gland, which results in a reduction of parathyroid hormone (PTH) and lowers blood calcium levels.
PTH 30 Tablet is used for managing secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis. It also helps in controlling hypercalcaemia in people diagnosed with parathyroid carcinoma and for reducing severe hypercalcaemia in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism who are unable to undergo surgery.
Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.
Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Follow the dose recommended by your doctor.
Never alter the dosage without consulting your doctor.
PTH 30 Tablet is taken orally.
PTH 30 Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, dizziness, muscle pain or weakness, and tingling sensations called paresthesia. If these side effects persist or worsen over time, consult your doctor.
Most side effects are temporary and generally harmless, which resolve on discontinuing the use of PTH 30 Tablet. However, if you experience any serious side effects or worsening of any of the symptoms, please consult your doctor.
