Rapeed D Capsule is commonly used for managing GERD, dyspepsia, non-ulcer dyspepsia, and gastroparesis. It reduces stomach acid and improves digestion, easing symptoms of heartburn, indigestion, and delayed stomach emptying.

To use Rapeed D Capsule safely and effectively:

• Follow the dosage and timing instructions provided by your doctor precisely.
• Do not change or exceed the prescribed dose without consulting your doctor.
• Consult your doctor before discontinuing the medication; do not stop taking it without their guidance.
• Adhere to the dietary recommendations given by your doctor.

Rapeed D Capsule is taken orally.

Rapeed D Capsule contains two active ingredients that work together to relieve symptoms of certain gastrointestinal disorders:

• Domperidone (30 mg): A dopamine antagonist, domperidone improves stomach and bowel contractions. These enhanced contractions help move food through your digestive system more effectively, reducing symptoms like nausea and bloating. Moreover, by tightening the lower esophageal sphincter, it reduces reflux.
• Rabeprazole (20 mg): As a proton pump inhibitor, rabeprazole decreases acid production in the stomach. It works by blocking an enzyme system known as hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase (H+/K+ ATPase), which is responsible for acid secretion in the stomach. By reducing gastric acid, it helps heal any acid-related damage to the stomach and oesophagus and prevents further injury.

The sustained-release formulation of this medicine ensures that the effects of both components are prolonged, providing relief throughout the day.

• Store Rapeed D Capsule at room temperature, below 30°C.
• Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
• Make sure the medicine is out of reach and sight of children.
• Always check the expiry date on the pack before use.

• If you're experiencing gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) for which Rapeed D Capsule is prescribed, try to avoid spicy, fatty, and fried foods. These can trigger heartburn and discomfort.
• Regular exercise can also help manage GERD symptoms. Aim for at least 30 minutes of gentle exercise daily. This can include walking or simple yoga stretches. Always consult your doctor before starting any new exercise routine.
