Reclide MR 30 Tablet is widely employed for the following health conditions:

When taking Reclide MR 30 Tablet, kindly adhere to these guidelines:

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Always take it during your breakfast.

• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's nearly time for your next dose, skip the missed one. Don't double up on doses to make up for a missed one.

Reclide MR 30 Tablet contains gliclazide (30 mg) which works on your body as follows:

• Binding and Closing Potassium Channels: Gliclazide binds to and closes ATP-sensitive potassium channels on pancreatic beta cell membranes. This action triggers a change in electrical charge across these cells.

• Opening Calcium Channels: Once the potassium channels are closed, voltage-gated calcium channels open up, leading to calcium influx. The rise in intracellular calcium stimulates the release of insulin-containing granules.

• Enhancing Insulin Secretion: Gliclazide increases insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells in a glucose-dependent manner. This means its effect is more pronounced when blood glucose levels are high and minimal when they are low.
