Reclimet-PG 60 Tablet is used for the following:

• Improving blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus

• Helping manage high blood glucose levels when individual therapy with gliclazide, metformin or pioglitazone proves inadequate

• Serving as an add-on medication to diet and exercise in adults for better control of type 2 diabetes

• Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water.

• Avoid breaking, crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Never exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Do not stop taking this medicine without discussing it first with your doctor.

Reclimet-PG 60 Tablet is taken orally.

Reclimet-PG 60 Tablet consists of three active ingredients that work together to control blood glucose levels:

• Gliclazide (60 mg): This ingredient is a sulfonylurea which stimulates the beta cells in the pancreas to produce more insulin. Insulin is a hormone that aids in the absorption of glucose from the bloodstream, thereby reducing blood sugar levels.

• Metformin (500 mg): Metformin works by decreasing the production of glucose in the liver, reducing the absorption of glucose in the gut, and improving the body's sensitivity to insulin. This enhances the uptake and utilisation of glucose in the body's peripheral tissues.

• Pioglitazone (15 mg): Pioglitazone is a thiazolidinedione that increases cellular sensitivity to insulin, promoting the disposal of glucose. It also reduces the output of glucose in the liver.

• Always store your Reclimet-PG 60 Tablet in a cool, dry place where the temperature stays below 25°C.

• Keep it away from direct light and moisture.

• Ensure the medicine is kept out of reach and sight of children.

• Remember to use this medicine before its expiry date.
