Rifaximax 550 Tablet is used for the following:

• Managing symptoms in individuals with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

• Preventing episodes of hepatic encephalopathy, a condition that affects people with severe liver disease

• Reducing intestinal bacterial overgrowth, a condition where excessive bacteria grow in the intestines

• Managing traveller's diarrhoea caused by certain bacteria

• Treating infectious diarrhoea caused by E. coli
