Rivaflo 20 Tablet is primarily used to manage deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), conditions where blood clots form in the deep veins of your body or the lungs, respectively. This medicine belongs to a group known as factor Xa inhibitors.
In addition to these main uses, this tablet also helps prevent future occurrences of DVT and PE. It's also employed to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in individuals with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat. Furthermore, it can prevent DVT and PE in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgeries or acutely ill hospitalised patients at risk for such complications. Lastly, when combined with aspirin, it reduces the risk of major heart-related events in people with coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD).
