Ropark Xl 2 Tablet 10

Ropark Xl 2 Tablet is used for the management of:

• Parkinson's disease

• Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)

The following steps should be followed while taking Ropark Xl 2 Tablet:

• Swallow the tablet whole without crushing or chewing it.

• The medicine can be taken with or without food.

• It's important not to exceed the recommended dose without consulting your doctor.

• Before discontinuing the medicine, please consult your doctor, as sudden stoppage can lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Ropark Xl 2 Tablet is taken orally.

Ropark Xl 2 Tablet contains Ropinirole (2 mg) which acts as follows:

• Dopamine Receptor Stimulation: Ropinirole works by stimulating the dopamine receptors in the brain. This activity can help manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease and RLS, which are associated with low levels of dopamine.

• Modulation of Sensorimotor Pathways: In the case of Restless Leg Syndrome, Ropinirole's stimulation of the dopamine receptors is believed to act on the pathways affected in this disorder, thereby helping reduce the unpleasant sensations in the legs and the urge to move them.

• Keep Ropark Xl 2 Tablet in a cool, dry place, ideally at room temperature (around 25°C).

• Avoid exposing the medicine to direct sunlight, heat, or moisture.

• Always keep this medicine out of the reach of children.

• Make sure you use the medicine before its expiry date.

• If you have Parkinson's disease, keep your diet balanced and nutritious. Eating proteins at different times than taking your medicine, like Ropark Xl 2 Tablet might help manage symptoms better. Consult your doctor for personalised advice.

• For those with Restless Legs Syndrome, it could be beneficial to limit caffeine intake. Beverages like coffee or energy drinks can sometimes worsen symptoms.
