Rosumac F Tablet is used to manage high cholesterol, triglycerides and mixed dyslipidaemia in adults, helping prevent cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke.

• It's crucial not to discontinue this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Rosumac F Tablet is taken orally.

Rosumac F Tablet consists of two components:

• Fenofibrate (67 mg): This ingredient activates a receptor called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which regulates genes involved in lipid metabolism. The activation of PPARα enhances the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides. It also reduces ApoC-III levels, a protein that inhibits lipoprotein lipase. The result of these actions is enhanced clearance of triglycerides from the blood and increased HDL cholesterol levels.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol production in the liver. By blocking this enzyme, rosuvastatin increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells which aids in removing LDL cholesterol from the blood. It also reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, ApoB, and nonHDL cholesterol while moderately increasing HDL cholesterol and reducing triglycerides.

• Store your Rosumac F Tablet in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• The ideal temperature for storage is below 30°C.
