Rosumac F Tablet 10

Rosumac F Tablet is used for managing the following conditions:

• Abnormal lipid levels in the blood, known as dyslipidaemia

• Primary hypercholesterolaemia, a condition causing high cholesterol levels

• Mixed dyslipidaemia, a situation where both 'bad' cholesterol and triglycerides are elevated

• Severe hypertriglyceridaemia, denoting very high levels of triglycerides in the blood

• Prevention of heart attack and stroke in individuals with multiple risk factors

• Lowering the possibility of arterial revascularisation procedures in patients without clinically evident coronary heart disease.

To use Rosumac F Tablet correctly, follow the guidelines below:

• Swallow the whole tablet with a glass of water.

• Avoid crushing or chewing the tablet.

• Administer this medicine at the same time each day for best results.

• Never exceed the recommended dosage without consulting your doctor.

• It's crucial not to discontinue this medicine without speaking to your doctor first.

Rosumac F Tablet is taken orally.

Rosumac F Tablet consists of two components:

• Fenofibrate (67 mg): This ingredient activates a receptor called peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which regulates genes involved in lipid metabolism. The activation of PPARα enhances the activity of lipoprotein lipase, an enzyme that breaks down triglycerides. It also reduces ApoC-III levels, a protein that inhibits lipoprotein lipase. The result of these actions is enhanced clearance of triglycerides from the blood and increased HDL cholesterol levels.

• Rosuvastatin (10 mg): This ingredient works by competitively inhibiting HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme responsible for cholesterol production in the liver. By blocking this enzyme, rosuvastatin increases the number of LDL receptors on liver cells which aids in removing LDL cholesterol from the blood. It also reduces total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, ApoB, and nonHDL cholesterol while moderately increasing HDL cholesterol and reducing triglycerides.

• Store your Rosumac F Tablet in a tightly closed container, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

• The ideal temperature for storage is below 30°C.

• Keep it out of reach and sight of children.
