Scrabic Lotion is used to treat scabies and the intense, night-time itching it causes. It works against the microscopic mites and their eggs that burrow under the skin, helping to stop the cycle of infestation.
It contains permethrin, an antiparasitic that disrupts the nervous system of the mites, leading to their death. Apply this lotion to the entire body from the neck down to the soles of the feet, ensuring it reaches every skin fold, and leave it on for the duration prescribed by your doctor before washing it off.
Washing all bedding, clothing and towels in hot water, and having all household members treated at the same time, helps stop the infestation spreading to family members and close contacts.
Tell your doctor about any skin conditions or allergies before starting this treatment. Consult your doctor if itching persists for more than two weeks after treatment, as this can happen even after the mites are cleared.
