Scrabic Lotion is used to treat scabies infestations and the intense, night-time itching they cause. It works by killing the microscopic mites and their eggs that burrow under the skin, helping to stop the infestation from spreading to family members and close contacts.
It contains permethrin, an antiparasitic that disrupts the nervous system of the mites, causing their death. Apply it to the entire body from the neck down to the soles of the feet, ensuring it reaches skin folds and between the fingers, and leave it on for the time period as prescribed before washing off.
Washing bedding, clothing, and towels in hot water, and treating all household members at the same time, helps prevent reinfestation alongside this treatment.
Tell your doctor if you have any known skin allergies before use. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and open wounds. Consult your doctor if itching persists for more than two weeks after treatment, or if the skin becomes more irritated.
